Infrared Landscapes

One of the reasons I started landscape photography, is that it seems to be at the perfect intersection of art, technology and being outdoors. Early in 2006, I leaned more to the technology side. Being an active presence in the DeviantArt Infrared Photographer’s Club, I embraced surrealist photography using infrared modified cameras.

While I sometimes come back to infrared photography just because taking pictures of things reflecting invisible light is so fascinating to me, it became less of an obsession since my early days of landscape photography. But I just love the way foliage glows and blue skies turn near black. Here are my personal favorite IR photos. Both old and recent.
